How do I check if my webcam is working?


  • If your device is equipped with a camera light, this light will turn on when the camera is in use.
  • If your system is not equipped with a camera light, you should get a notification to let you know when the camera is turned on or off.

How to control which applications can use the camera

  1. Follow the steps below:
  • In Windows 10, go to Start  > Settings  > Privacy  > Camera.
  • In Windows 11, go to Start  > Settings  > Privacy & security > Camera. 



STEP-2:     Go to Privacy



STEP-3:     App Permissions click on Camera



STEP-4:     Enable Camera 



STEP-5:     Allow access for browser



How to check the webcam is working


STEP-1:     Click on the 'Camera app' from start menu.



STEP-2:     Camera application will open. If the the webcam displays your picture then your webcam is working fine in your system.
