How to add different types of questions to a question bank

There are following types of questions:
  1. Multiple Choice Single Answer

  1. Multiple Choice Multiple Answer

  2. True or False

  3. Essay Type Descriptive Answer

  4. Short Answer

  5. File Upload

  6. Coding Simulation

  7. Typing Test

  8. Likert Scale

  1. Calculated Numeric



Now, We will see how we can add each type of questions individually.

  1. Multiple Choice Single Answers

In this type of question , the user can have unlimited options with a single correct option. The user can append a passage or media or table according to the requirement of the question. Also, the user have to mandatorily specify the topic, BTL, marks, negative marking . CLO and LOC are optional fields. In this the evaluation is done by the system. After, all the fields are filled just click on "save". 





  1. Multiple Choice Multiple Answers


In this type of question , the user can have unlimited options and can have multiple correct options. The user can append a passage or media or table according to the requirement of the question. Also, the user have to mandatorily specify the topic, BTL, marks, negative marking . CLO and LOC are optional fields. In this the evaluation is done by the system. After, all the fields are filled just click on "save". We can also enable partial grading, negative score and restrict responses.
 






  1. True or False

In this question type, users must place the question in the provided space, with only one correct option available, either 'True' or 'False'. The user can append a passage or media or table according to the requirement of the question. Also, the user have to mandatorily specify the topic, BTL, marks, negative marking . CLO and LOC are optional fields. In this the evaluation is done by the system. After, all the fields are filled just click on "save".





  1. Essay Type Descriptive Answers

In this type of question,  user must place the question in the provided space and can specify the maximum words the candidate can type in the answer section. The user can append a passage or media or table according to the requirement of the question . Also, the user have to mandatorily specify the topic, BTL, marks, negative marking . CLO and LOC are optional fields. In this the evaluation is by the evaluator. After, all the fields are filled just click on "save".



  1. Short Answers

In this type of question,  user must place the question in the provided space and can specify the maximum words the candidate can type in the answer section. The user can append a passage or media or table according to the requirement of the question. Also, the user have to mandatorily specify the topic, BTL, marks, negative marking. CLO and LOC are optional fields. The evaluation is done by the system itself by two types of matching criteria i.e. exact match or contain match .
Exact Match: The answer should match exactly including punctuation marks, upper case, lower case, etc.
Contain Match: The answer should match the key words.
After, all the fields are filled just click on "save".





  1. File Upload
In this type of question, the candidate have to upload his/her answer by clicking the picture of the answer sheet and uploading it in the format provided i.e. JPEG , PNG , PDF , SPREADSHEET, DOCUMENT. The user can specify that in which format the candidate has to upload the answer sheet. The user can append a passage or media or table according to the requirement of the question . Also, the user have to mandatorily specify the topic, BTL, marks, negative marking . CLO and LOC are optional fields. After, all the fields are filled just click on "save".





  1. Coding Simulation
Step -1 

You can enter the question text in the designated area, along with various options related to the question. Begin by specifying details like:

Function Name: 
You can indicate the function's name in the provided space, as depicted in the picture.


Show Result: 
In this section, you can choose whether the candidate will have immediate access to the code's results upon execution. If you opt for "true," the candidate will be able to view the code's correctness and execution status. However, if you select "false," the candidate will be unable to do so. In such a scenario, the candidate can simply save the code and continue.

Languages: 
Within this section, you can choose the programming language in which the candidate is permitted to write code during the examination.



Add test cases here:
Here, you have the ability to include multiple test cases for the code. You can commence by outlining the test case name, test type (mandatory, corner and optional), associated marks to that particular test case, input and output values, as well as an optional feature of giving test case description for each test case.

Note: Giving at least one test case is mandatory.
Note: Test type in the first test case is predefined as default and cannot be changed.




Reference / Model Answer:
You have the option to put reference or model answer for the question, which will serve as a guide for the question paper setter and evaluator.


Note: This will not be shown to the candidate.

  1. Likert Scale

A Likert scale is a rating scale used to measure opinions, attitudes, or behaviors. It consists of a statement or a question, followed by a series of five or seven answer statements. Respondents choose the option that best corresponds with how they feel about the statement or question.

    • Agree

  • Assign marks if necessary (optional):

    • Strongly Agree: 5 marks
    • Agree: 4 marks
    • Neutral: 3 marks
    • Disagree: 2 marks
    • Strongly Disagree: 1 mark

    1. Calculated Numeric
