Partial grading allows the user to award marks for each correct option they choose instead of awarding total
marks only for selecting all of the correct answer options.
To enable partial grading, we need to ensure the following types of question is selected.
Multiple Choice Multiple Answer
Upon selecting the above mentioned type and typing the question and option, user will get the option to enable partial grading.
Upon enabling partial grading, the candidate will be awarded positive marks for each correct option and negative marks for each incorrect option. The user will get to additional utilities upon enabling it.
- Allow Negative Score-
By allowing negative marking in partial grading system, only the negative score boxes are enabled, as visible in the image.
Once the user has selected the correct option, the negative score box automatically disables. The user will only be able to enter marks in the default marks column. For all incorrect options the default marks column automatically disables. The user can only enter marks in negative marks column. As visible in the image.
- Restrict Responses-
Upon selecting restrict responses the user can restrict the candidate to select a maximum number of options equal to the number of correct options. For example, if a question has five options and three are correct, the candidate will not be able to select more than three choices.
