Understanding different user roles

There are different types of roles that can be assigned by the user to their team are as follows:

Customer Admin: 

Role: The Customer Admin is a specialized administrative role, operating directly under the Super Admin of a client account. This role empowers designated users to configure, manage, and review all administrative activities for the assigned exams within the client account.

Evaluator: 

Role: Evaluates the uploaded answer files for the RPT & IBT Exam. 
Responsibilities: Carefully assesses the answers provided by candidates, assigns appropriate marks, and provides feedback as needed. 
Follows a standardized marking scheme to ensure fairness and consistency in evaluation.

Note:  No user should be assigned Evaluator and Moderator roles together due to contradiction in the nature of the two roles. 

Exam Admin: 

Role: The Exam Admin is a specialized administrative role that grants comprehensive access to all system features related to assigned exams—except for the Users module. This role operates under the oversight of the Super Admin, ensuring that exam management remains effective yet secure. The Exam Admin cannot create or grant access to new user roles.
Responsibilities: Manages and oversees the entire RPT & IBT Exam system, including configuring settings and generating reports. 
Coordinates with other roles to plan and schedule exam sessions effectively. 

Moderator: 

Role: Reviews and validates the marks given by Evaluators. 
Responsibilities: Verifies the marking accuracy and consistency to ensure fairness and accuracy in the evaluation process.
Acts as a mediator in case of disputes or disagreements regarding marks or evaluations.

Note:  No user should be assigned Evaluator and Moderator roles together due to contradiction in the nature of the two roles.

PaaS Report:
  1. Accesses PAAS (Proctoring as a Service) specific reports and analytics.
  2. Access to PAAS reports and analytics dashboards (often advanced/technical reports).
Proctor: 

Role: Monitors candidates during the assigned RPT Exam to maintain exam integrity. 
Responsibilities: Observes candidates during the exam, prevents any malpractices or violations, and reports any suspicious activities.
Reports any suspicious behavior or exam violations to the appropriate authorities.

Note:  No user should be assigned Super Proctor and Proctor roles together due to contradiction in the nature of the two roles.

Proctor Dashboard: 

Role: Provides a summarized view of RPT Exams through various metrics and counts on the admin interface. 
Responsibilities: Offers a real-time overview of the exam progress, live proctors, super proctors, disconnected candidates, live candidates and exam submissions for better management.
Provides real-time updates on the number of candidates present in each exam session. 
Offers statistical analysis of exam performance to identify trends and patterns.

Question Author: 

Role: Adds questions to the assigned question banks by the customer or super admin. However, this role does not have the control to create new question banks.
Responsibilities: Designs relevant and appropriate exam questions following the exam guidelines and syllabus.
Conducts research to ensure that questions are relevant and up-to-date. 
Ensures that questions are appropriately categorized and tagged for easy retrieval.


Question Reviewer: 

Role: Reviews and validates the assigned question papers before they are used in the RPT & IBT Exam. 
Responsibilities: Ensures the accuracy, clarity, and relevance of questions, and confirms alignment with the exam's objectives and mark them as reviewed for further association in the exams.
Checks for potential errors or ambiguities in the created questions.

Report Viewer: 

Role: Has access to only the reports module of the associated exams within the client account. 
Responsibilities: Helps in compiling exam-related data and reports for analysis, decision-making, and compliance purposes.

Super Admin: 

Role: Is the main user for a client and has default access to all the exams and activities being conducted on the particular client account.

Note: A new user who is assigned the Super Admin role later would have to be associated with the respective exams to access all the modules and reports within the account and would not have default access to all the exams.

Super Proctor: 

Role: Monitors and supervises the activities of assigned Proctors for the RPT Exam. The assigned user must be associated to the proctors and exams for monitoring during the session.
